Recycle Life: Give Blood!

April 1, 2009

This spring, the American Red Cross asks you to help “recycle life” by giving blood: the natural resource that comes from within.

Blood is truly a renewable resource that can help others in need. And if you’re eligible to donate, you can give blood every 56 days, up to six times a year.

While giving blood might not necessarily save the planet, your blood donation can help save up to three lives. Your donation will also help fight blood shortages, which, in recent years, have become more frequent and prolonged and can threaten patient care.

So make your appointment today to help save a life by giving blood through the American Red Cross. And be sure to encourage others to make an appointment—the eco-friendly, paperless way—by referring them to this web site. Thanks for all you do to help save lives.
