Local blood donor to win Saturn lease at special zoo event; Jack Hanna presentation to follow

Ten local blood donors were chosen from 60,000 entrants as finalists to win a
1-year lease on any Saturn vehicle of their choice this Sunday, Sept. 13, through Saturn of Columbus and the American Red Cross.

The finalists include (in alphabetical order):

  1. Vivan Anderson of Columbus; donated at First Church of God
  2. Laura Caple of Athens; donated at Athens County Chapter House
  3. Don Collins of Pickerington; donated at Kroger in Pickerington
  4. Ben Fithian of Westerville; donated at Abbott Nutrition Ross Park
  5. Ken Johnson of Mansfield; donated at Knox County Career Center
  6. Tom Musgrave of Zanesville; donated at Colony Square Mall
  7. Alisa Nass of Columbus; donated at Carriage Place Donor Center
  8. Marshie Skinner of Columbus; donated at One Columbus
  9. Linda Tagg of Columbus; donated at Westerville Community Drive
  10. Anna Vollmer of Columbus; donated at Shamrock Club

During the summer long campaign, “Summer Blood DRIVE with Saturn,” presenting donors were given the opportunity to enter to win the 1-year lease on any Saturn vehicle. Approximately 60,000 people donated across the 27 county area of the Central Ohio Blood Services Region of the Red Cross throughout the summer.  The donated blood is used to support patients at 39 area hospitals.

All finalists will learn their fate Sunday, Sept. 13 at the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium’s annual “Saturn Day at the Zoo.” A presentation beginning at 2 p.m. will award the winner with their new lease. All other semi-finalists will go home with $100 gasoline gift cards.

SCHEDULE:        10:00 a.m. – Zoo opens
Noon – 2 p.m. – John Schwab Band
2:00 p.m. – Presentation and grand finale countdown for Saturn lease winner
2:15 p.m. – Jack Hanna presentation
