Who We Help

Every two seconds, someone in the United States needs a blood transfusion. In the Central Ohio Blood Services Region the American Red Cross, which serves 56 medical facilities, needs at least 650 volunteer blood donors a day to meet patient needs. Also, blood products from local donors save the lives of patients across the country. You'll see just a few of the people who are helped every day by generous blood donors in the Recipient Stories.
